We all knew it would happen someday <not going to cry, I'm not going to cry! > … but as of this month <Sniff, Sob!>, the dreaded moment has officially arrived: According to Wikipedia, Dancing With The Stars' Head Judge and long-time Panel Favorite Leonard "Len" Goodman is stepping down as judge, and is retiring from the Show … Oh, it's useless!  <Snatching up multiple tissues and mopping eyes frantically ... Waaah!!>

This is positively HORRIBLE!!  “Who now”, will stand as the final word on Ballroom dancing for DWTS?!  Who's going to throw periodic and endearing grumpy fits and throw out some uncalled-for "dressing downs" of various dances; and who will we, the fans, in turn, yell back at?!  Who’s compliments and respect will be so highly sought after, and so very worth the earning (however impossible a task that seems at times); and who will be so very much beloved and looked up to by his fellow Cast members and fans alike <Sob!  Snort, snort!!>?!

And to make depressing matters even worst, Len has elected to remain on as Judge on England's Strictly Come Dancing while dropping its American counterpart.

<Clearing throat> Okay, okay, fair enough, I guess; but, just a quick, slightly biased, and yet totally reasonable question:  Why not just make your time spent in the Colonies more permanent so that you can remain on DWTS as a Judge and drop Strictly Come Dancing instead?  No? <Sigh!>  Well, it was worth a shot!

Following his departure after 10 Years of judging on the Show, Len leaves in his wake an astounding 20 Seasons worth of wonderful memories and a regrettable hole in the DWTS Cast that can never be adequately filled.

You will be sorely missed, Len Goodman, and America's favorite Ballroom Dance competition will not be the same without you!
