Season 21’s Dynamite Duo, Bindi & Derek were crowned Dancing With The Stars’ newest Mirror Ball Champions on Tuesday night, concluding the Season’s 2-night Finale event in what was one of the show’s BIGGEST Finals to date!

<Whew!> Wow!! … <Re-reading above Text> … WHAT a Season!!

With each and every performance as great as - if not better than - the last, it is little wonder that Season 21’s Sweetheart was dubbed early on in the competition as being a “Mirror Ball Favorite” by watching fans and Media outlets.

DWTS Season 21, Week 03 - TV Night

Living up to the “Hype” consistently left in their wake, the immaculate Team of Bindi & Derek received a record-breaking (!!) 8 perfect scores throughout the Season!!  

Along with that, Derek Hough (who else?) set several records himself ... ...

His Tango with Alexa PenaVega (Week 05, Switch-up Challenge), for which he earned a perfect score of 30, marks the first time that any Pro has received a perfect score while dancing with a "switch-up partner"!

ALSO, because of the aforementioned Tango, Hough is the only Pro to have ever gotten 9 perfect scores within one Season!

And Lastly (but certainly not least), Derek has broken the record (previously held by none other than himself, of course!) for the most Mirror Balls to be won by a single Pro, as he ecstatically hoisted his 6^th and most recent Trophy!

“I can’t believe I’m here!” an elated Bindi expressed according to etonline.com following her Win.  “I’m this girl from Australia who works with wildlife and I got to learn how to dance.  And now I’m here and it’s all thanks to Derek … I’m so, so lucky!”

The emotional Teen also took a moment to offer a more personalized form of Thanks to her Dance Instructor with whom the animal lover has shared a seemingly-inseparable, tight-knit bond throughout the Season.

Bindi & Derek earn yet another perfect score!

“This entire experience has felt like the most beautiful dance and Derek has inspired me every single day,” Bindi remarked according to people.com before addressing her partner more directly and saying, “… It’s thanks to you that we are here!  You changed my life and I’m so happy!”

And the feeling is apparently mutual (!), as was seen when Bindi’s “big brother” Derek took to his tvguide.com Blog afterwards and wrote concerning the joyous occasion, “We did it! I can’t believe it and I can’t believe it’s over!  I’m so happy to be able to do this for Bindi.”

The 30-year-old Dancer (who has affectionately dubbed his openly-adored Celebrity partner as being his “little Bindi”) expressed other feelings on the subject when he wrote that he was, “ … grateful to have spent the past three months with Bindi.”; and he additionally observed, “I know I gave my best for her and we did our best.  The win just made everything so much sweeter.  It was the perfect end to the perfect Season.”

“I might be biased but I think Bindi might be one of the best contestants the show has ever had …” the veteran Pro further gushed, “and not just talent-wise.  … I’m not exaggerating when I say I have never met anyone like her before.  She’s just special.  I’m 13 years older than her, but she’s taught me so much about life … It was an honor to be able to be her partner and to teach her to dance.”

REVIEW (Part 02):  Bindi & Derek

Submitting their final dance of the Season, Bindi Irwin and her Professional Dancing partner, Derek Hough, stepped once more out onto the Ballroom Dance floor, closing down Season 21’s last Round of competition with the dancing of an Argentine Tango/Cha-Cha Fusion to “All the Way” by Timeflies.

Clearly setting out to enjoy their last few moments together on the dance floor, Bindi & Derek performed their routine in a stereo-typically exquisite fashion, creating one of the best Fusions the show has ever seen with each step and motion being additionally made into a contagiously celebratory affair that in the end had its enthralled audience once again up on its feet in a thunderous and well-deserved standing ovation!
