Bindi & Val – Review of DWTS Season 21, Week 05

DWTS Season 21, Week 05

REVIEW:  Bindi & Val

Up next on the Ballroom Dance floor was Season 21’s Sweetheart, Bindi Irwin, and her Switch Up partner, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, with the dancing of a fun and youthful Cha-Cha to “Hold My Hand” by Jess Glynne.

Well, Bindi was certainly “ready for this” next dancing challenge, “there’s no denying”!

First off, I thought Val did a fantastic job with the choreographing and teaching of this routine (!); and secondly, Bindi totally killed it!!

Now, to be completely - albeit most painfully - honest, there was one or two moments in this completely fab performance when Bindi did not quite fully extend those all-important Lines, her Hand and Finger Placement did not quite achieve “greatness”, and her Hip Action came off just a tad bit stiff; but, in the end, all fairly minor flaws in the overall packaging and execution of this dance; and I absolutely loved it!

Succinctly, I thought that this dance earned a solid, all-9 scoring with maybe one or two 10’s thrown in the mix for that well-deserved edge of distinction among some of the night’s lesser dances … which, conveniently enough, is exactly what it received!

Very well done, indeed!
