Tamar & Louis – Review of DWTS Season 21, Week 05

DWTS Season 21, Week 05

REVIEW: Tamar & Louis

Kicking off Season 21’s Switch Up Week, Tamar Braxton and Louis Van Amstel danced a Sloppy Samba to ‘End of Time” by Beyoncé.

<Popping Lips> Wow.  Definitely, in my opinion, the worst dance of the evening!

At least Paula Deen (whose Jive is the only other dance from Switch Up Week that can be compared to this Latin catastrophe!) has the excuse of being … well. … Paula Deen!

I think that this Samba’s biggest problem was that Louis statedly saw this Switch Up experience with Tamar as his chance to actually choreograph a full and fast dance routine (therefore showing off his supposed ability as a Dancer and Choreographer to the World), instead of just doing the job that he was hired to do:  Be a good Pro to Tamar and choreograph a routine that showcases her (You know, as the competing Celebrity!) in her best, possible light!

As for Tamar’s dancing of this routine, it was overall ... awful!

There were, I’ll grant you, one or two Beyoncé-inspired moments that Tamar did nail, with plenty of Swagger to go around,

but when it came down to the actual Samba content that heavily peppered this performance, her Frame was lacking; her Lines so Lazy they were practically asleep; her once-again absent-minded facial expressions suggestive of the fact that she just may of left the stove on at home;

Tamar's "... once-again absent-minded
facial expression ..."

Seriously ... what is she looking at?

and her Samba Rolls were so very, very wrong!

Tamar's so-called Samba roll

She did understand that what she was attempting was a “Samba’ Roll, right?  Not a “Spastic” Roll!
 ... Just asking.
