Suzanne & Tony - Review of DWTS Season 20, Week 03

DWTS Season 20, Week 03

REVIEW:  Suzanne & Tony

Suzanne & Tony:

Suzanne Somers totally Carmen Miranda-ed it for  Latin Night when she and her professional dancing partner, Tony Dovolani, danced a colorful Samba!

Suzanne & Tony Season 20, Week 03 - Latin Night

Sporting a ridiculously over-sized fruit hat, in hilarious keeping with the evening's theme, (about which, Tom Bergeron joked, "Suzanne's head is part of a balanced diet!") Suzanne's dancing may not have been much to look at from a technical aspect, but, well, I think that Len Goodman put it best when he quipped, "That was a bit like your headdress:  juicy, fruity and full of fun!"

Michael & Peta:

Apparently, Peta Murgatroyd just wanted to celebrate ... (get it?  Any Pitbull fans out there? ... Never mind!)
 and it showed!

She absolutely killed that Salsa!!
And I really enjoyed her choreography ... fast, fun,  fantastic!

Charlotte & Keo - Review of DWTS Season 20, Week 03

DWTS Season 20, Week 03

REVIEW:  Charlotte & Keo

Charlotte & Keo:

Wow!  What was going on with the judges?!

Was it just me, or were they being a tad harsh concerning this next dance (the word "tad" in this instance, meaning "VERY, VERY" mean!?)

I'll grant you, although beautiful to watch, (like graceful pictures in motion ... the performance really showcased Keo's professional ability!)  Charlotte McKinney and Keo Motsepe's Rumba did lack fluidity and some technical steps; but c'mon, overall it cannot be denied, this was most certainly Charlotte's BEST dance!

Charlotte & Keo's Rumba

And the fact that her scores did not reflect that is just ... wrong.

Now, I did agree that Charlotte's lackadaisical and apathetic attitude concerning her rehearsals required some reproof from Keo this past week; but, as far as the judges are concerned that should be neither here nor there ... they need to judge the actual dance; but they seemingly wound up only judging the rehearsal package instead!

Seriously now, was any one else watching last week when the all-too-generous judges bestowed 6's and 7's on (sorry, Charlotte ... ) Charlotte's awful Cha-Cha and this week she receives 5's and 6's !?!

Charlotte and Keo's Rumba was poorly judged.

And what was with Bruno Tonioli??

He basically called Charlotte dumb! ... and I quote, "You're never going to win the Nobel Prize for Quantum Physics, but you are easy on the eye [sic] ..."

For cryin' out loud, this is DWTS, not the friggin' SATs!

Uh, (regarding Bruno's comment) was that a little mean and sexist?  Odd, coming from Bruno ...

In the end, it just looked as though the judges went especially out of their way to be mean to Charlotte.

Pay them no mind, Charlotte and Keo, your dance was GREAT!

Rumer & Val - Review of DWTS Season 20, Week 03

DWTS Season 20, Week 03

REVIEW:  Rumer & Val

Rumer & Val:

This dance was AMAZING!!

Rumer Willis & Valentin Chmerkovskiy

Rumer Willis and partner Val Chmerkovskiy were first out of gate Monday night with their Salsa ... which Val so brilliantly choreographed to be a pleasing mixture of both Salsa content and Disco to Gloria Estefan's "Turn The Beat Around".

A Salsa/Disco ... good one, Val!

It was like watching John Travolta from Saturday Night Fever live in the ballroom ... Far out!!

And we cannot forget Rumer, whose superb dancing ability was 100% Pro-like!!  (Not that the judges saw it that way ... 8's?!! ... are y'all crazy?!  Boo, Boooooo!!)

BTW, I just want it noted that Len Goodman scored this dance with a 9 ... which means this dance deserved  9s!! ... So there!

Rumer Willis
gettin' her Disco on!

Bottom line, this dance totally kicked it! ... it was cool, man!

Noah & Sharna - Review of DWTS Season 20, Week 03

DWTS Season 20, Week 03

REVIEW:  Noah & Sharna

Noah & Sharna:

Noah & Sharna - Latin Night

This week, for Latin Night, Noah Galloway and his professional partner, Sharna Burgess came out and danced the Argentine Tango (of all things!) ... I'd say the dance rendered me speechless but that would make for a pretty uninteresting review; so instead, I'll start off by saying, this dance completely blew me away!

It was the very definition of the word "Incredible" !!

Len Goodman pretty much summed it up when he said to Noah, "...you're my hero."

And Sharna's riveting choreography was beautiful; about which Len said, "Your imaginative choreography is fantastic!"

Noah & Sharna - The Argentine Tango

I mean to say, show-stopping-ly great ... or ... as Len so aptly put it, "...I thought it was terrific, well done!"

I absolutely loved it!!

DWTS Elimination: Charlotte & Keo - Season 20, Week 03

Charlotte McKinney & Keo Motsepe Eliminated on Dancing With The Stars Season 20, Week 03 (03-30-15)

Well, I'm not going to insult the intelligence of the general public by pretending to be at all surprised by this recent elimination; but, I can truly say that if poor Charlotte had to go, I'm happy to report it was on a (very) high note!

That Rumba was incredible, Charlotte, and it allowed you to gracefully exit the stage of DWTS while leaving the show's cheering fans wanting more (regardless of the Judges' unnecessary, unkind, rude, and even sometimes mean comments - See our post, "Charlotte & Keo - Review of DWTS Season 20, Week 03" for much more on the Judges' comments).

Very well done!
