Pregnant Pro Talks Babies and
Dishes On What We Can
Expect Now That She’s Expecting!
Dancing With The Stars’ Most Memorable Year Night returned to the Ballroom
on Monday for Week 04 of the Season 21 competition, complete with the usual laughter,
tears, and bittersweet memories!
Adding to the emotional Melee, was DWTS Pro, Allison Holker, with some most-unexpected, exciting news:
“I’m Pregnant”, revealed the Dancer during Week’s 04’s live show,
before later sharing with People, “This
was such an amazing night, and I’m so glad the news is finally out there, … It
has been so hard to keep it bottled up inside me – both literally
and figuratively!”
Following the hers and Celebrity partner, Andy Grammer’s, Monday night Cha-Cha, the Pregnant Pro then excitedly took to Twitter, sending out, “WE’RE HAVING A BABY”, while Proud Papa to be, Steven “tWitch” Boss (who was present for the live-Broadcast announcement), sent out the same message on Instagram with the accompanying Hashtag, “#BabyBoss”!
This child marks the first for the ecstatic couple, who met while
participating on the hit show, “So You Think
You Can Dance?”.
“It’s something that we have wanted for so long now,” added Allison to Us Weekly, “and it’s
actually happening and it feels like the biggest blessing.”
Reportedly already into her Second Term(!), Holker officially makes DWTS
history as the show’s first competing expectant Pro!
“There’s three of us now,” laughed her Season 21 partner, Andy, before Allison happily quipped
that she hoped everyone would be fine with all of the Couple’s future dances
being a Trio, instead of a Duo!
But while the Emmy-nominated Dancer may make light of her unusual competitive
situation now, the 27-year-old also revealed that she would take no chances
when it came to the well-being of her unborn child, disclosing that she had
already consulted a Doctor while still in her 9th week. “We had a
really serious conversation about it; and, I explained to her everything I’d have
to do and asked her if she thought I’d be okay,” she informed Us Weekly. “She said, ‘Absolutely, your
body is already used to being this active.’
She was really confident about it and that made me so comfortable.”
Allison is not the only one feeling confident about the upcoming little
arrival, as the current Mom-to-be also shared concerning her first child, daughter
Weslie Renae, from a previous
relationship, that the 7-year-old can hardly wait to play the role of Big
Sister!
“She’s ecstatic and already prepping to be the best older sister she
can be to the little girl or boy – we don’t know the sex yet, … She’s always
been a very helpful child; but, it seems like now if I need a glass of water,
she’ll be like, “No, no, no, mother, I’ll get it for you … it has been the best
energy in our home.” “… I’m lucky!”,
Holker later added.
Still, despite all the natural enthusiasm, juggling married life, a
young child, an on-going pregnancy, and the rigorous day-job of being a Pro on
America’s favorite Ballroom Dance competition, could easily be labeled as a strenuous
lifestyle, at best!
“I’m on Dancing With The Stars now and, as the Pros, we compact ourselves
with so much work that every once in a while we have to a family night and let
go of all the work,” she recently stated; but, Allison also made sure to let
her #TeamAndison fans know
her dedication in her role as a Professional for Grammer on the show, saying, “I am so about this for Andy!”
