Dancing Jazz to "Nasty" by Janet Jackson, ABC's own, Ginger Zee, and her Professional partner, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, submitted their Famous Dances Routine.

Well, if by the word "Nasty" they meant it in the literal context of leaving a bad taste in one's mouth, then sure!  "10"s for everyone!!  … But if by the word "Nasty" they meant it in the much more Fun context … Mmmm, not so much, I'm afraid!

Yes, unfortunately it seems as though the Dancing-Rain Clouds just continue to mount over the head of GMA's Chief Meteorologist, Zee, as her watered-down, Week 06 Performance proved anything but "Alright"! ... Get it?

Now, now, now, "Hold back the Tears", Ginger-Fans, for it wasn't as though the entire Number was a complete and TOTAL flop; on the contrary, some of its Elements were even very good with Ginger's distinctively endearing quality and undeniably genuine Affability having delightfully shone throughout this Routine which also additionally included the nicely gratifying Exhibition of one very Fine and Feminine Lift!

Nonetheless, upon the whole - and despite what appeared to be a most sincere and well-meaning effort (and the necessary deaths of what I guess to be around 4 cans of Hairspray!) - this Dance remained underwhelming overall, as Ginger's persistent problem of maintaining a consistently Lazy Execution and seemingly Apathetic State while Performing reigned tragically supreme once more!

Put simply:  Each and every Step of this Jazz Routine was, quite technically, Executed and each Pose equally Struck; however, for each and every Step Executed, and each Position Struck, there still lacked any small notable kind of "Umph!" or Pizzazz Factor by Ginger, effectively making what should have been a delightful (and yes, "Nasty") Dance out to be an extremely Dull and Uneventful Affair!

"… I think this whole "[Nasty"] Piece is all about Attitude," observed Panel Judge, Carrie Ann Inaba, concerning the Dance, "And I think you brought your own Attitude, but … I honestly, I wanted to see just a bit more! When you did that Iconic part … you weren't able to 'Hit it!' and own it, you almost 'owned it' …"

"… It was clean, it was precise," added Head Judge, Len Goodman. "[But] it lacked a little bit of Attitude on occasion …"

Still, in the end, and while certainly another failed attempt for Zee overall, I am very much looking forward to seeing whether or not next week won't just bring Sunnier Dancing Days for Season 22's competing Forecaster, and whether or not she can't just muddle through her own stormy Ballroom-"Wind" and "Rain"!

(… Okay, okay, sorry!  Last one!!)
