REVIEW: Ginger &
Val, with Artem
Dancing the Paso Doble to “Shot Me Down” by David Guetta, featuring Skylar Grey, Ginger Zee and her Professional partner, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, were joined by DWTS Pro, Artem Chigvintsev, in the performing of their Semifinals Trio.
Not half bad!

Honestly, and despite her recent success while on the Ballroom's Dance Floor over the past two Weeks, I really had my doubts concerning whether or not Season 22’s stereo-typically Apathetic, Forecasting Contestant would be able to submit an even halfway decent Showing when it came to a staunchly Framed style of Dance, such as the Paso.

Nonetheless, and while certainly far from “Perfect”, Zee’s Dancing proved both Passionate and Strong, as with each and every Foot Placement it was made clear just how badly Ginger wanted the Dance to succeed in scored points from the show's Panel Judges.

Still, despite what was, indeed, the most sincere of Efforts, as well as some truly Powerful, Paso-worthy Choreography (Well done, Val!), and some very gratifying help from Pro, Artem’s,presence within the Dance, Ginger's old, persisting Habits once again reared their ugly heads, via a periodically Crumbling Frame, some Unsightly Footwork, and some distinctly Messy, Unfinished Lines, rendering this Routine as one of the lesser ones of the Evening.
“… You came out full of Attack, and full of Aggression” noted Head Judge, Len Goodman, following the Performance, “which you want to see in the Paso! It did get a little bit stormy in places, but, the Commitment and the way you Dance the last few weeks is amazing!”
