DWTS Yanks Away
YouTube Dance Videos
Dancing With The Stars has gone inexplicably “dark” and made all of their Season
19 – 21 YouTube Dance Videos “Private” and unavailable to the Public.
With no explanation given or redirection offered on how to view these now private Videos, fans around the world are grappling with this unwelcomed development and currently pleading with the beloved show to please, please, please make these Dances available once more!
This tragic twist in what has always been a stable relationship between Dancing With The Stars and its Viewers was, in hindsight, hinted at when about a month ago fans from varying countries the world-over began writing to the show via the Channel’s comment section with complaints and pleas to make the dances available once again.
Fast-forward to what started out as a very promising yesterday, in
terms of dance re-watchings when we, as American fans, were stunned to learn
that we too had been cut from the viewing-loop.
Well, cut from the loop when it specifically comes to viewing any and ALL dances, beginning with the show’s most recent Season 21, Week 06 dances and reaching all the way back through DWTS-Official-Youtube-Channel-Time to Season 19, Week 01 Dances. Any and ALL Interviews, All Access Clips, Promos, etc., have been left available to the Public, perhaps as an unsuccessful attempt to soothe and calm fans during this sudden upset.
Amid all the ensuing confusion reigns a singular, taunting question: “Why?” … Why has DWTS done this?
Is it because they have plans to release these dances through other venues? More profitable ones perhaps? Are they constructing a private website? Or maybe some Producer finally grew a brain and has decided to re-release past Seasons via DVD sales? … I am sure there are many who would not object to any or all of the above; but, WHY hasn’t any shred of explanation been given for this apparent change-up in plans? After all, it wasn’t so very long ago that DWTS added a Video to their fantastic YouTube line-up that showcased Pros Valentin Chmerkovskiy and Emma Slater as they encouraged fans to subscribe to, what was once, a terrific Channel.
Or maybe one or more previous Contestants had an issue with, what may have been, unsolicited, public display of their dances. I seriously doubt that any Celeb would have much say in the matter, even if that were the case, given the fact that they elected to join the highly-publicized television show in the first place; but, one never knows ...
Perhaps it is all some horrible mistake, made by some hapless individual/s. Dare we hope?
It was a mere 2 days ago when DWTS posted (what can only be described as) a bewildering “Promo” (???) for yet another live, cross-country tour from the show, using for said “Promo” THE EXACT SAME VIDEO/CLIPS that were used to promote their Season 20-inspired, Perfect Ten Tour, which has already successfully toured the Nation last Summer.
Was this also a mistake?
Is ANYONE going to explain what the HECK is going on?!
