Nastia & Derek & Sasha Are Back On Top!!
Season 20, Week 09

Nastia Liukin, Derek Hough, and Nastia's he’s-doing-a-fantastic-job-of-being-her-stand-in-professional-dancing-partner, Sasha Farber, have once again found themselves nestled comfortably at the top of the Leader Board at the conclusion of tonight's (Monday, 5-11-15) Season 20, it's-absolutely-vital-to-wind-up-on-top Semifinals!

They share top honors (AGAIN! See Wk03.) with Riker Lynch & Allison Holker in an incredible, edge-of-your-seat, right-down-to-the-finish TIE!!

Both Couples received double perfect scores!!

Nastia & Derek & Sasha's triumph is, of course, thanks, in part, to their incredible Quickstep!

Okay, seriously!?! This dance was just all kinds of exemplary!

Nastia's impressive frame, ability, and agility were seemingly tailor-made for the dancing of this fast-paced, content-filled QuickStep; and, Derek's choreography was absolutely perfect (and we can't forget Sasha who was so spot on as Derek's replacement)!

Absolutely stellar!!

And now we come to the Judges’ Choice Round of dancing (where each Judge chose a couple and chose for that couple a dance, a song, and how this dance was to be presented creatively) with Nastia, Derek(!), AND Len Goodman(!)'s incredible Viennese Waltz!

This dance was so amazing ... and it's no wonder ... Len Goodman may be a little harsh at times; but, you cannot deny that no one else on this show knows Ballroom better than he does!

This dance ... Wait! ... Did I Compliment Len enough? He was AWESOME!! This Viennese Waltz was so brilliant and moving!! I was in tears!! ... <composing myself> ... OK... <blowing nose ... bwaaaphhh!> ... where was I? Right ... This dance with Len's concept, direction, choreography, and dancing(!) shows exactly why he is the Head Judge!!

That ... combined with Nastia's beautiful, graceful, emotional execution; and, with Derek's great dancing (he is injured, right?) and mad choreography skills ... made for a stupendous performance!

This was, without a doubt, one of the best DWTS dances ever!!!

Riker & Allison Are Back On Top!!

Season 20, Week 09

Riker Lynch and his professional dancing partner, Allison Holker, have once again found themselves nestled comfortably at the top of the Leader Board at the conclusion of tonight's (Monday 5-11-15) Season 20, it's-absolutely-vital-to-wind-up-on-top Semifinals!

They share top honors (AGAIN! See Wk03.) with Nastia Liukin & Derek Hough / Sasha Farber in an amazing, absolutely-must-see-it-to-believe-it (Oh, Yeah ... really!) TIE!!

... Hmmm ... looks like it's going to be an incredibly competitive Finals next week!!

Riker & Allison's triumph is, of course, thanks in part to the Couple's Cream-of-the-Crop-Contemporary!

I could have guessed as much ... of all the Male Celebrities that we have seen this Season, Riker has consistently displayed the best lines, flair, and technique. And Allison! She seems to have been on some kind of choreographing high since her Week 02 - My Jam Monday Foxtrot!

I mean to say, I like totally, freaking dug this dance!!

How could I not? It had it all: Beauty, grace, emotion, and that certain level of dramatized artistry typically showcased in an amazing Contemporary performance!

Put simply, it was Breathtakingly Beautiful!

... and ...

It earned Riker & Allison their first (and well deserved) perfect score!

And now we come to the Judges Choice Round of dancing (where each Judge chose a couple and chose for that couple a dance, a song, and how this dance was to be presented creatively) with Riker & Allison AND Julianne Hough's !Oh-wow! Argentine Tango!!

Riker's long, tall, physical build was seemingly made for the dancing of this "Cricket Dance" and (what has become) Allison's aggressive, attack-it style of choreography was perfectly suited for this passionate, Latin routine!

Judge Julianne Hough with her vision, talent, choreography, creativity, AND dancing only took Riker & Allison's level of performance (dancing with her) up to phenomenal!!
