some Fellow “Classmates”!!
ABC’s
hit show, GMA (Good Morning America), has put into action a whole new gag: It’s their already talked about, all-new Undercover series; and, it officially
kicked off this week with some rather delightful results.
The series focuses on rounding up various, famous
Celebrities and placing him/her/them in “Undercover” situations for the purpose
of being able to surprise fans when the Celebrity/Celebrities are finally
revealed.
For the series inaugural episode, GMA chose Dancing With The Stars’ very own Mirror Ball Champions and real life couple, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd!

The Mission: To attend an Advanced Dance Class made up of
20-something-year-olds disguised as 40-something-year-olds who absolutely
CANNOT dance, then survive the inevitable humiliation for 40 straight minutes before finally breaking bad and stunning the entire Class!
To begin the fun, Maks and Peta were craftily “uglied” up in order to better fit their assigned roles.

Donning a graying wig, an exaggerated, graying beard, a pair of over-sized glasses, an exercising Head Band, and some out of proportion padding for his stomach, Maks noted concerning his new look, “That’s a lot of man!”

“For some reason, I wanted to be named Bob immediately,” Maks would later laughingly recall of the elaborate prank, “… Peta chose her [Undercover] name, and this is how you know she would probably be the worst person to be like some sort of secret spy, there was a moment when the Instructor [of the Advanced Dance Class] said ‘Hey, now everybody turn ‘round and introduce each other to your neighbor!’, she [Peta] turns around and goes “Hi, Peta! … I mean, no! Uh …’ It was hilarious!”

After receiving their less-than-flattering makeovers, Maks and Peta then proceeded next to Phase 2 of their assignment, crashing an Advanced, NYC Dance Studio entitled, Steps on Broadway.
“I thought, ‘We’re gonna be playing older couple [sic], and, uh, it’ll be an older people Class’ …and then we walk in, we’re literally 30 years ahead of the oldest person in the room and it’s not even like, you know, Beginning [or] Intermediate … it’s like full-on, Theater Class of people on Broadway and performing right now, so …”
Upon crashing the skeptical Class, the “Blundering Duo” act portrayed by Maks and Peta went off without a hitch, effectively fooling everyone in the studio.

the couple later openly admitting that the assigned 40
minutes were uncomfortable to get through at best!
But the hardest part of all? Pretending as though they could not dance!

“I was trying not to laugh at the people that were laughing at me!” spoke Peta of the unkind smirks and snickers that kept rippling amongst her fellow “Classmates”.
“It was 40 minutes of ‘You wait!’ ” agreed Maks, “ ‘You don’t know what’s about to happen!”
Finally, following 40 minutes of purposefully dancing off of the beat, Maks and Peta were free to let loose, and stun their growing audience into silence, just before enthusiastic cheers shot across the Dance Studio when, slowly, the famous pair was recognized.

“I was so surprised!” recalled one onlooker. “This was EVERYTHING!”, and “My Mom is gonna freak,” said another, “because she watches the show!”
“This is how I know that when I’m old and fat I’m gonna still be amazing [sic]. People were just staring!” Maks later quipped, while affectionately rubbing his protruding middle section.
“It was amazing.” Peta concluded concerning the random experience. “I was half embarrassed, half having the time of my life.”
“Well, I was staring at you the whole time!” her boyfriend Maks responded, before being duly rewarded with an appreciative kiss and the declaration, “I love you!”
