Gimme, gimme some lovin' for THIS next TeamStopandGo Performance!!

Okay, okay, so true (and MOST unfortunately!),   James’ Jiving wasn’t the absolute best, his Kicks and Flicks being so very less than sharp at times; but, it cannot be denied that, sharp or no, this Round 2 Formula equaled Wildly Entertaining!!

Fast, furious, and fabulously FANTASTIC, this high-speed <Ahem!> race to Season 23’s next Week's Finals was chocked FULL of Dancing goodies, including that of GREAT Musicality, incredible, In-sync Movements, and – We simply cannot forget! – a surprise appearance by one tough, little Formula Race Car!!

(And might I just add, those jivin’ Outfits were KICKIN’it –and Flickin’ it, I suppose! - as well!!)

Almost predestined to include the ever-talented and gracious Jenna, this Trio’s trip around the Ballroom’s track was, succinctly, quite the terrific ride; and, I, for one, positively LOVED it!!

Sleek, chic, and deliciously rich in sharp aggression and charisma, this powerful Trio Performance was something else!!

Exquisite Dancing by Terra, aided, of course, with some truly splendid Choreography that was pos-i-tive-ly CRIMINAL – LOL!!  I loved the Trench Coat and Cuffs, see? – this Tango effectively turned up the Ballroom’s heat for Monday Night's Trios Round, taking its proper place as one the absolute BEST Dances of the evening!!

An amazingly passionate Performance that was <Ahem!> firmly rooted in some mighty fine Technical Execution, this next Trios effort effectively DOMINATED the Ballroom for the space of about 2 minutes, during which time it vaulted its Celebrity Dancer and Pros to an all-new Level of supreme excellence!!

Presenting one truly “Ole!” of a Performance that’s almost sure to make Season 23’s other Competitors <Ahem!> green with envy, this masterful display of Discipline-meets-Party was a distinct pleasure to behold, with its all kinds of crazy cute and widely fun moments that were PERFECTLY mixed in with some WHOA!-Did-you-SEE-that?? Moments!

Complete with Rhythmic Dancing, one Double Leap Frog, one INSANE Lift, and one equally impressively smooth Dismount, this exciting Performance seemed solely designed to OBLITERATE all expectations of Season 23’s Wide Receiver – an  endeavor most successful, as this delighting piece just blew away its audiences!!

Maureen McCormick and Artem Chigvintsev ELIMINATED on Dancing with the Stars

Giving the Boot to Season 23’s Brady Bunch Blubberer, DWTS' Ballroom waved “Bye” to child-star, Maureen McCormick, and her Pro Partner, Artem Chigvintsev, on Week 07’s Eras Night, officially marking – What this Blogger certainly hopes will be - the end of this Fall Competition’s Era of Tears.

… Oh, Marsha, Marsha, Marsha, I’m almost so very sorry; but, it really was time for you to go!

And for that matter, while thinking out loud ...

Now that McCormick is MIA, if the Show and its Fans will just ditch Know-it-all Henner next Week this entire Season would be set for a very generous wrap-up indeed!

… Oh, wait!  So, you say that Maureen DIDN’T win an Academy Award, then??  

… A Lifetime Achievement Award, perhaps? 

… An All You Can Eat Surf & Turf Dinner at California’s Finest Eatery???   

… A Free Loreal Sample, maybe???  … 

… She won WHAT?!   Three 8’s?!!  And all for the dancing of that insanely, heavy-footed Argentine Tango?!!!!!  … that's what she kept carrying on about on Monday Night??

Amber & Maks vs. Maureen & Artem – Review of DWTS Face-off, Season 23, Week 03

Face-off REVIEW:

Performing two Salsas, Amber Rose & Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Maureen McCormick & Artem Chigvintsev face-offed on DWTS' Monday night’s Dance Floor, livin' it up la vida loca-style!


Amber & Maks:


Albeit a generally entertaining Performance, I must still admit to being overall less than impressed with this Routine; but, perhaps not wholly for the reasons as one might think …

Amber’s Dancing and overall Performance Pizzazz, while not exactly thriller (Perhaps heels might have helped??) was every bit on par – if not slightly advanced – from her two previous Weeks of Competition, having notably thrown herself into the Routine and participated with an eagerness that was somewhat fun, pleasing, and infectious.

Maks, on the other hand, was the part of the Dance that I found notably lacking, particularly in regards to his lack of Content in Choreography!

Oh, there was plenty of enjoyment to be had, to be sure; and, Maks' delightful inclusion of a Selfie Break within the Dance was - undoubtedly - genius (!!),

but in the end, I found Team Spicy Salsa’s Performance to include more Spice then Salsa, unfortunately marking it as one of the lesser attempts of the evening!



Maureen & Artem:


In stark opposition to their Face-off Week opponents, Muareen & Artem’s more traditional take on this Latin Style Dance was zesty, classic, and stereo-typically charming!

Fun, rhythmic, and surprisingly Fluid, Maureen’s execution of this particularly difficult Routine was decidedly better in every way then that of Amber’s, thanks, in large part to Artem and his solely-Content-filled Choreography and Artistic Concept.

Great job, Team Maureen!
