Len Goodman Returns to England - S23

DWTS Head Judge,

Len Goodman,

Takes Temporary

Leave of Absence

Len Goodman

Dancing with the Stars' beloved Head Judge and any sensible Fan’s Favorite, Len Goodman, is scheduled to cross back over The Pond once more to judge England’s version of the Celebrity Ballroom Competition, Strictly Come Dancing.

SCD is, of course, the annual, Reality Series originator of our own – Is it at all PC to add the words “much better here?? – biannual DWTS.
“Len’s going to be away from us for a couple of weeks,”
Explained DWTS' Host, Tom Bergeron, of the situation during Week 03’s Tuesday Night Results Show,
“Because … [he’s] not just our Judge in the Fall …”
“Right.” Added Goodman,“I have to do the British Show, Strictly Come Dancing … it started it all.”
Now normally, DWTS' strictest Judge – Len – would essentially pull off the impossible from week to week, within each and every one of the Ballroom’s Fall Seasons, and fly back and forth, along with fellow Judge, Bruno Tonioli, to and from England in order to judge both SCD and DWTS at the same time.  … YIKES!  … But, alas, Len himself expounded,
“And, the problem is, you know, I’m getting on a bit – it’s difficult to fly every week there [and then] back.”
Still, the Head Judge made sure to put “his” beloved Ballroom in order, while keeping DWTS' 11 remaining Couples – rather appropriately -  on the tips of their dancing-toes as he gave this parting warning,
“… I’m going to miss … [Judging DWTS] because I’ve enjoyed – so much – watching the progression.  But I’m going to be well informed [of] what’s going on, so … make sure that it’s a Ballroom Competition!  It’s not all about Razzle-Dazzle, show us some proper Ballroom.”
(Oh snap!  … And, erm, <Ahem!> is anyone else thinking that the Show timed their new Circus du Soleil Theme just right?? )

In any case, this dwtslover will certainly be missing Len … <Breaking down in mock sobs>  Don’t go, Lenny!!

… Oh, right, I suppose that is rather a moot plea at this point, so I’ll revise:

Hurry BACK, Lenny!!

Kym Johnson to Replace Erin Andrews for Week 03 – DWTS, S23

Mirror Champion Pro,
Kym Johnson to Co-Host
Week 03 of Season 23

Dancing with the Stars’ 2-time Mirror Ball Champion (S09, S12) and Former Pro, Kym Johnson, will once again be rejoining the Cast of yours and my favorite Dance Show in the official capacity of Co-Host,  albeit under most unfortunate circumstances.

Kym Johnson
Temporarily stepping in to replace the Ballroom's current Co-Host, Erin Andrews, Johnson will be lending a helping hand to the Program's beloved Host, Tom Bergeron, for Week 03’s Tuesday Night Results Show, while Bergeron is reportedly already set to go the previous night's (Monday Night's) Competition alone.

Erin Andrews

Andrews will bow out of Season 23’s Face-off Week’s festivities to be with and support her grieving Boyfriend, Canadian Professional Hockey Player Jarret Stoll, whose 17-year-old Nephew, Jordan Stoll, was tragically killed in a car crash, according to globalnews.ca

Tom Burgeron

Taking to Twitter to announce the Show’s sudden change of plans himself, Bergeron has explained,
“My pal #ErinAndrews will absent from @DancingABC this week to support @jarretstoll whose nephew passed away.  Sending hugs and condolences”

Openly endeared to Hough as being his “Little Bindi”, Irwin has also recently disclosed that Singer, BC Jean, of the ever popular, musical Duo, Alexander Jean, will be joining this exciting event as well, taking to Instagram on Saturday, April 30th to announce,
“… We feel so blessed that @bcjean and @derekhough will be joining us for our very first Steve Irwin Gala Dinner in LA on May 21st.  …”

Accompanying the message was a duly chosen Video of Bindi & Derek’s INCREDIBLE, Perfect Score-earning Viennese Waltz, which had been famously Performed to Alexander Jean's hit, romantic Single “Roses and Violets” on Week 09 of DWTS' gratifying 21st Season.

Sharing in her Music Duo with her now Fiancé and Best Friend to Hough, Mark Ballas, BC Jean was also revealed during the Instagram Posting to be Singing LIVE at the upcoming Gala Event when Irwin further wrote,

“… and we are all very excited that @bcjean will be performing.  …”

In addition, Irwin has also shared that DWTS Host, the incomparable Tom Bergeron, will be playing the part of “Master of Ceremonies” for the evening which she has already labeled as being “spectacular”, as well as her intention of auctioning off her now-beloved Viennese Waltz Dress during the Event!

DWTS Rumors and Cast Announcement Air-date!!

Season 22's Upcoming

Cast Announcement And

Premiere Air-date!!

<Ahhhhh!> It’s almost here!!

Dancing With The Stars (AKA THE best program to have ever graced network Television!) is once again dusting off its dancing shoes (<Squeal!>), as the show revs up for an all new spin around the Ballroom Dance Floor, in preparation for its latest (and very possibly GREATEST!) biannual installment, Season 22, which premieres on March 21st, 2016!

DWTS Season 22's official poster featuring
Season 19 Mirror Ball Champion, Witney Carson (finally!),
and DWTS Pro, Keo Motsepe!

With the Dance Show’s highly anticipated, Seasonal Cast Announcement fast approaching, Fans of the beloved program - Myself, of course, being included!! - are (understandably!) hard-pressed to be patient for the official confirmation of its Spring Cast, which is set to air Tuesday, on GMA (Good Morning America) on March 8th, 2016!

The sequin-studded event will ultimately squash or confirm (Yay!) the fast-flying Rumors that have been recently cropping up, such as reports that Nyle DiMarco, winner of America’s Top Model will be joining the 2016 Cast, as well as some other, cheer-inducing gossip that NFL Wide Receiver, Antonio Brown, of The Pittsburgh Steelers will be joining, along with NBC’s The Facts of Life Actress, Kim Fields, ABC’s Full House and Netflix’s Fuller House Actress, Jodie Sweeten, and MMA Fighter, Paige VanZant!

The show’s Host and co-Hosting duo of the past two years, Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews,

DWTS Host, Tom Bergeron, and
co-Host, Erin Andrews, confirmed for Season 22!

have already been confirmed for yet another Season of miked fun, via Season 22’s Wikipedia page, while Ballroom’s beloved Judge, Len Goodmanis also set to return,

Beloved Head Judge, Len Goodman,
Returning for Dancing With The Stars'
Season 22!

along with fellow Panel Judges, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli!

2-time Mirror Ball Champion and Panel Judge (of the show’s last 3 Seasons), Julianne Hough, has announced her departure from the Glitter Dome, at least for the time being, and will not be returning this Season as Judge, bringing the show’s Panel back down to its original, staple three Judges.

It’s an all new Season of exciting (Samba) Twists and (Waltzing) Turns; and, it is - FINALLY  - just around the corner!

Ooo, I simply cannot WAIT!!

Next Week is American Icons Night on DWTS – S21 (Wk08)

Icons Night is Coming

to the Ballroom for

Season 21’s Week 08

Next up for Dancing With Stars’ exciting 21st Season is Icons Night.

Also coming next Week will be DWTS’ always-highly-anticipated and fun Dance Offs … with a terrific twist!

Making it’s Monday night Ballroom debut will be DWTS’ first-ever American Dance Offs in which Fans will help determine the Winners of this always-delightful event, via votes that will be entered during the show’s live airing, while the Dance Offs are taking place!

“Sitting in” as Head Judge for the Dance Offs, viewers of the show will be allowed to submit their votes as to which Couple they feel are performing better in the Dance Offs live through DWTS’ amazing abc.com website.

When the excitement ensues, the viewer votes will be displayed publicly within the Ballroom, in real time, for each one of the Dance Off’s participating Couples.

As usual, at the conclusion of each and every Dance Off, the show’s 3 judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough, and Bruno Tonioli, will each present a Paddle bearing the names of the Couple they have determined as the Winner of the event.

The majority of America’s votes (that were given live, during the performance), will count as the Viewer’s very own, virtual “Paddle”, and will count towards the Couple receiving these votes.
Also, in the event of a Tie, as “Head Judge”, America will be given the power to determine the outcome of any Dance Off!

(If one Couple receives Paddles from 2 of the show’s judges, and the remaining couple, a Paddle from the 1 remaining judge AND the majority of America’s votes, then whichever Couple America voted for will be deemed the Winner of that Dance Off!)

The Couple receiving the highest Judges’ scores during next week’s FIRST Round of Dances will, of course, receive “Immunity” from competing in the potentially Elimination-causing event, and ultimately from the night’s dreaded Elimination altogether.

(Also, the Couple receiving “Immunity” will be awarded with an automatic 3 extra bonus points to be added their overall score.) The Winners of the three ensuing Dance Offs will be awarded with 2 extra bonus points to add to their overall scores, thus bettering their chances come “Booting-off” time!

It’s a nail-biting, sometimes-heart-wrenching, often-epic event that we fans don’t want to miss; and, it all kicks off Monday!!

In addition, DWTS’ long-endeared (and greatly missed) Erin Andrews is set to return as co-Host to Tom Bergeron!

Here Are The Dances Assigned To Each Couple, As Revealed So Far:

 Alek & Lindsay - Contemporary
   Nick & Sharna - Contemporary
Andy & Allison - The Waltz
Carlos & Witney - The Salsa
Alexa & Mark - The Argentine Tango

DWTS Host Tom Bergeron Misses Most Memorable Night!

Tom Steps Down Temporarily

As Host of DWTS To Be With

Ailing Father

DWTS’ long-time Host and one of the show’s beloved favorites, Tom Bergeron, was absent last Monday evening for Season 21’s Most Memorable Year Night, to be at the bedside his ill father, Raymond Bergeron, leaving in his wake a sizable and tangible hole in the anticipated Week 04 episode's Cast.

DWTS Host Tom Bergeron

Tom announced his temporary departure from the weekly Broadcast on Sunday the 4th, via Twitter, when he sent out the somber message, “I'll miss 2morrow’s #dwts to be at my Dad's bedside.  He's given me a lifetime of support.  Time to return the favor.”

The grateful Host wrote again on Twitter, one hour later, while en route to his father, “I’m on a plane reading all of your lovely tweets which I'll share with my Dad.  They are deeply appreciated.  Thank you.”

Stepping in for Tom was none other than Alfonso Ribeiro, Season 19’s adored Mirror Ball Champion!

Tom Bergeron and Alfonso Ribeiro

The newly-established Host of AFV's (America's Funniest Videos) most recent hiatus from the Glitter Dome was brief this time, having just returned to the Ballroom the previous week to Guest Judge the show's TV Night episode.

Alfonso, who did a most excellent job of filling Tom’s mammoth-sized, showman shoes, announced his role as Host for Dancing With The Stars with this respectful update via Facebook, “I will be filling in for Tom Bergeron tomorrow night on Dancing With The Stars.  I will be there with a heavy heart for my friend Tom and the Bergeron family,”

Whether or not Tom will be able to Host the show next week, or even when in the foreseeable future, remains, as yet, unclear.

It’s not easy being green; and, it’s not easy being
the director of a live show; but, Kermit (Center)
performed both tasks admirably Monday night,
after shooting his ol’ pal, Fozzy the Bear
(Left), just one or two incredulous glances!

The always wacky and completely adorable
Muppets showed up Monday night to lend
DWTS a hand in the control room under
the direction of an ever-frustrated Kermit the Frog!

DWTS Host, Tom Bergeron, gets some
(unwanted) help from self-promoted
“Co-Host”, Miss Piggy!

Host Tom Bergeron receives the proverbial
“Pat on a the Back” from Kermit the Frog,
right before TV Night’s little, green Director
panics and realizes he has left DWTS’ Control Room
without proper management! – Week 03

DWTS’ Erin Andrews finally re-gains
her place as the show’s co-Host,
replacing a begrudging Miss Piggy!
