Dancing With The Stars’ 21^st Season was one with many delightful twists and turns, as Week by gratifying Week it's increasingly show-stopping routines danced across America’s television screens, never failing to enchant and thrill us!

From exquisite Movement being ever so shockingly showcased by Down Under’s famed, animal loving Daughter, to the Formidable Frame and Ballroom grace displayed by America’s beloved son and International Hero, to the excellent Standard immediately set (and kept!) by an already endeared Nickelodeon Actor, DWTS’ latest high-stepping escapades proved anything but expected!

Regardless, this amazing Season’s wrap-up, while inarguably PERFECT, remained little more than predictable, naming its Fan-backed and Media-dubbed “Mirror Ball Favorites”, Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough, the show’s newest Champions!

And while such a befitting and hard-earned title could not have befallen a more incredible or deserving Season 21 Couple, it cannot be refuted that the Season’s exhilarating conclusion could hardly be labeled as such were it not for the equally hard-earned efforts consistently displayed by the Show’s three other amazing Finalists, which declaration brings this devoted dwtslover to yet another, enthusiastic installment of A Focus on the Finalists.

Tearing up the beloved show’s dance floor with an explosive and definitively out-of-left-field Jive, the always immaculate, playful pair that was Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson made its audience “feel good” right from the start, setting what became an ever increasing standard of BRILLIANCE in the art of Ballroom, characterized by a seemingly never-ending string of show stopping antics and some “Bravo!”-worthy performance know how!

Week 08 saw Carlos and his partner, Witney, present a more traditional spin on the always spicy Salsa, earning the Duo yet another high score of all “9’s”, despite that same Salsa routine including a (astonishingly well-handled!) misstep!

Good Grief, America, they were, without a DOUBT (and with the one exception of Bindi & Derek), the BEST competing Couple, by FAR, all Season long!!

WHAT is wrong with you?!!

And you, DWTS Judges, what is wrong with you?!

YOU, who would not dane to give this whole-other-level-of-SPECTACULAR-Couple a fair and just scoring until the FRIGGIN’ FINALS!!!

(Have you never heard the expression “Too little, too late”??!!)  And while we are ranting, what are YOU doing, Dancing With The Stars, Eliminating ANY Couple on the eve of the Finale??!!

For crying out loud, they are (Well, WERE, thanks to you knuckle-heads!) the four Season 21 FINALISTS, and as such, deserve ALL of the bells, whistles, and fanfare that come with this hard-earned distinction!  Not to be Eliminated like they were only a friggin’ SEMIFINALIST!! 

Regardless, seeing as how you’d already clearly lost all sense of fairness this Season, and therefore felt the need to pull this moronic stunt, why (oh WHY!) did it have to be #TeamBrownSugar?!

If any unfortunate Finalist Couple had to receive one last proverbial boot, and understand that I am of the opinion that NONE of them should have had to go ANYWHERE, it should have been Nick & Sharna.

Frankly speaking, and as much as it pains me to say it, being a fan of #TeamSharnick, Nick Carter and his ever-present, Horrid, Hunching Habit just doesn’t measure up to the Ballroom Dancing magnitude of Bindi Irwin or Carlos!  Nor did he risk his own life and limb heroically saving a train-full of potential victims by forcibly (and, May I just say, IMPRESSIVELY) subduing a heavily-armed, homicidal maniac like Alek Skarlatos, so …

But, again, and to be clear, I don’t think that ANYONE should have gone!

It’s all just so … oh, what’s the word? … STUPID (!!), and WRONG, and poor (poor, poor) Carlos & Witney were, UNBELIEVABLY, the ones made to suffer for it.

“That, definitely, has never been done before,” began Judge Julianne Hough with the Judges’ critiques, when the routine was finished.  “<Pausing for effect> and did it work?  I think it did!  I liked it! … I thought it was a great move, that’s called, ‘Taking risks’, that’s called ‘Going for gold’ … I really loved it!”

“…That was fresh, it was right on trend, it was loaded with cheeky fun … it could have backfired, you know, it’s a big, big risk, and you did it beautifully!  Thank you for a fantastic performance!” added Bruno Tonioli, while Carrie Ann Inaba conclude with, “… That was the freshest, fly-est, Freestyle I’ve ever seen!”

And so it was!  With another perfect scoring of all 10’s awarded them, Carlos & Witney topped off their night of outrageous, delicious performances like “Mmm-hmm-,mmm-mmm, Yakey to the Yak!”
