Carson and Chewbacca

Witney Carson Enjoys

Some Galaxy Giggles

Witney Carson

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away …

DWTS Mirror Ball Pro, Witney Carson, met that endeared walking carpet himself, Chewbacca!

… Okay, okay, so it wasn’t THAT long ago; and, it actually took place on the continental U.S.  … not to mention it was more of a Chewbacca Mask than the real Chewy!!

(Dare to dream, right?!)

Check out this great YouTube Video below (No “bad feeling”s here!) posted by Fine Brothers Entertainment of a time NOT so long ago, in a room only reasonably far away, when Witney was introduced to a Chewy Mask that went viral!

(No, seriously, go ahead!  Adorable, it is!!)

Dancing with the Puppy!

Meet DWTS Pro,

Witney Carson's,

Dancing with the Stars' Mirror Ball Champion Pro, Witney Carson, has added a new member to her household, an ADORABLE Puppy!!

(Okay, all together now! –Ain’t no use in trying to hold it back! – AWWW!!)

Meet “Roxy”!  An elated Witney has described of her pet and its furry ancestry, via witneycarson.com,
“… we decid [sic] It’s a cavapoochon (cavalier king charles spaniel, poodle, & Bichon mix).”

The enamored Dancer has also gushed of her pup as being “perfect”, “amazing”, and a “little angel”, AND has requested that any and all Potty Training information and aide from Fans be shared immediately through her Website!

(Um, yeah, has she seen that little, sure-to-be-spoiled-rotten-face??  I’m afraid you just may be on your own, Wit, with the discipline and training of this too-cute fuzz ball!!)

Making its rounds amongst the DWTS Studio and its Season 23 Cast, Celeb Finalist, Jana Kramer, has joked of her plans to “steal” the cutie, via InstagramDWTS co-Host, Erin Andrews, has unabashedly “demanded” its fawned-over presence within her Dressing Room on Twitter, while 6-time Mirror Ball Champion, Derek Hough, has quipped of his dog, Romie's, probable feelings of jealousy, as the veteran Pro was “caught” snuggling with Carson’s new pampered pooch via Instagram!

Vanilla Ice & Witney – Review of DWTS Season 23, Week 04

DWTS Season 23,

Week 04 REVIEW:

Vanilla Ice & Witney

Vanilla Ice & Witney
DWTS Season 23, Week 04

Performing the Foxtrot to “La Nouba” by Benoit Jutras from LA Nouba, Robert Matthew “Vanilla Ice” Van Winkle and his ever-lovely Professional Dance Partner, Witney Carson, danced their Week 04 Routine.

Vanilla Ice & Witney
DWTS Season 23, Week 04

Brightly bringing its enchanted audiences into a fantastical world of romantic Waltzes, breath-taking Aerials, and circus-chic Attire, Team Ice N Spice’s Week 04 Viennese Waltz was, in a word,
DELIGHTFUL

Vanilla Ice & Witney
DWTS Season 23, Week 04

and furthermore served as one of the more enjoyable Performances of the evening, earning itself a rather comfortable–and very much deserved! –resting place among the company of what were some already INCREDIBLE dancing displays!

Vanilla Ice & Witney
DWTS Season 23, Week 04

Once again (although I suppose that his graceful Week 02 Foxtrot really should have tipped me off beforehand!) I found myself pleasantly shocked at Vanilla Ice’s smooth and fluid capabilities, while Witney’s ever- distinctive higher level of Choreographing brilliance – shown when even among her peers – sweetly created one truly lovely Ballroom exhibit!

Vanilla Ice & Witney
DWTS Season 23, Week 04

Loved it, loved it, LOVED it, you two; and, I very much hope that you’re back next Week because I most definitely would like some more of it!!

Rick & Emma vs. Vanilla Ice & Whitney – Review of DWTS Face-off, Season 23, Week 03

DWTS Season 23, Week 03

Face-off REVIEW:

Rick & Emma

vs.

Vanilla Ice & Witney

Ladies and Gentlemen, Performing in the bad-out Battle of the "Paso Bobles" … er, Paso Dobles! … Former Governor Rick Perry & Emma Slater contended against their fellow Season 23 Competitive Cohorts, Robert Matthew “Vanilla Ice” Van Winkle & Witney Carson!

Rick & Emma:

Well, I have to say that if Paso-ing were a Walk, then Governor Perry would be crushing it!

Bu-u-u-ut, seeing as how the Paso Doble is unfortunately not a Walk, but rather a Dance, I’ll stick to saying that all in all, Rick & Emma’s Performance was most enjoyable!

Rick & Emma
DWTS Season 23, Week 03

Governor Perry's excellent Frame and natural ability to Lead – whether dancing or not -  easily remained in the peek-est of shapes throughout the Routine; and was drastically aided by Emma’s clever Choreography, which included one very impressive segment in particular, where the beloved Pro artistically faced-off against her Celeb Partner in an epic Moment and Spin around the center of the Ballroom’s Dance Floor, effectively saving this Number as a whole from the jaws of Judges’ Scoring Oblivion!

Vanilla Ice & Witney:

Ah!  … Now we’re talking!!

Exhibiting a much closer and more exhilarating adaption of the Paso Doble, Vanilla Ice’s take on this powerful Dance was unquestionably superior to that of his political challenger in most every way, barring that of a Great Frame.

Vanilla Ice & Witney
DWTS Season 23, Week 03

Smooth, on point, and terrifically fierce, this “Ole!”-inducing Routine by Vanilla served to immediately set the standard of Monday night’s Latin attempts, as well as one of the better Dances of the entire evening!

Of course, and only too naturally, mad props go out to the ever lovely Witney whose – once again – SUPERB Choreography succeeded in drawing out every ounce of that non-music that she and Vanilla were made to dance to, creating what was a decidedly gripping Piece and Performance!

Vanilla Ice & Witney
DWTS Season 23, Week 03

(And, BTW, that dramatic dress was positively KILLING it; you go, Wit!)

All in all, I 100% LOVED it, you two!  Amazing job!!

Vanilla& Witney– Review of DWTS Season 23, Week 02

DWTS Season 23, Week 02

REVIEW: Vanilla & Witney

Performing a – Now get this! – SPLENDID Foxtrot to “ Love and Marriage” by Frank Sinatra, from Married with Children, Robert Matthew “Vanilla Ice” Van Winkle, and his Professional Partner, the ever-lovely Witney Carson, danced their TV Night Routine.

Vanilla Ice & Witney
DWTS Season 23, Week 02

Frame and Flourish, Poise and Pizzazz … you can’t have one without the other when dancing that Ballroom classic, the Foxtrot; and, this particularly FABULOUS showing from Vanilla Ice & Witney was certainly in no short supply of all the above!!

Vanilla Ice & Witney
DWTS Season 23, Week 02

Having surprisingly – and yet successfully! – executed one of the more ADORABLE routines to have graced Monday night's Dance Floor, who would’ve guessed that Vanilla Ice could ever have been so wonderfully light on his feet or, for that matter, so charmingly full of elegant Musicality and class?!

Vanilla Ice & Witney
DWTS Season 23, Week 02

And, naturally – it very nearly goes without saying, though I’m sooo declaring it anyway! – the beautiful Wit’s Choreography AND treatment of the promiscuous Peg was an absolute and sheer delight!

Vanilla Ice & Witney
DWTS Season 23, Week 02

(I mean to say – and pardon my French! – that she totally kicked @$$!  … No, really, did you see the Dance?  Witney really popped poor Vanilla Ice a good one!)

Vanilla Ice & Witney
DWTS Season 23, Week 02

Simply superb, #TeamIceandSpice; I loved it, loved it, LOVED it!!

Vanilla & Witney – Review of DWTS Season 23, Week 01

DWTS Season 23,
Week 01 REVIEW:
Vanilla & Witney

Vanilla Ice & Witney
DWTS Season 23, Week 01

Dancing the Cha-Cha (more or less!) to “Ice, Ice, Baby” (love that song!), Robert Matthew “Vanilla Ice” Van Winkle <Rubbing Out Hands> and his Professional dancing partner, Witney Carson, performed their Week 01 Routine.

Vanilla Ice & Witney
DWTS Season 23, Week 01

Ice, Ice, BABY!

The elating duo of Team Ice & Spice proved they had all the right (and hip!) moves – if not many Latin ones! - during their Monday night routine as the star Rapper known as Vanilla Ice showed that when it comes to bringing that cool and crazy-great funk, he’s still got it!

Vanilla Ice & Witney
DWTS Season 23, Week 01

Though a TERRIFIC performance overall, and one that certainly had this dwtslover cheering wildly, it still cannot be said that this dance will necessarily be credited as having been a Cha-Cha per say (what, with little to no actual content having been included within the Dance!); yet – and let’s face it, folks! – nobody really cares (except for Head Judge Len Goodman, of course!) as some choreographing Brilliance was displayed once more by the ever-lovely Witney

The ever-lovely Witney Carson

when she correctly chose to lay aside the rigorous structure of Latin and Ballroom Dance for just one evening in order to give a still-thrilling 90’s hit its due propers!

Vanilla Ice & Witney
DWTS Season 23, Week 01

AMAZING job, you two,  I LOVED it!! ...

"Word to your Mother!"

A Verbal Minute-Waltz with Witney

Champion Pro Witney Carson

Briefly Touches on

Season 23 Fantasy Partners,

DWTS-Tutoring Dreads,

and Other Topics!

Witney Carson during an interview with ET.

Mirror Ball winning, Dancing with the Stars Professional, Witney Carson, has recently disclosed a few of her own personal hopes and thoughts for DWTS' all-new, upcoming, sequins-studded venture, Season 23, when she opened for some Fan-posed questions during an Interview with ET!

“We’ve been doing a couple of rehearsals but, nothing too crazy yet.  The madness hasn’t started yet!”

Shared Witney, when remarking on her – and presumably fellow Pros' - current “waiting” period for news on her newest DWTS Celebrity Partner and when asked if she might have any Celeb-hopefuls already in mind, the 22-year-old Dancer responded enthusiastically,

“Oh, yeah! I’ve got a ton! –Uh, Channing Tatum, Zac Effron … Chris Hemsworth, Liam Hemsworth!”
“Any Hemsworth, really!”, the Pro amended with a laugh,“Bring ‘em on in!”

Carson then continued on more soberly that at this point in her DWTS career, she's had the opportunity to Instruct and Dance with some “amazing” Star Partners –

“So, I think, at this point, just somebody who’s really nice, and really willing to work hard.”  “I think one of the Olympians would be awesome,” the Instructor grinned, “since the Olympics just happened… like Michael Phelps!” she added suggestively

When mentioned that Gold Medal-winning, Olympic Gymnast, Simone Biles, might be joining in on this latest Season's dancing fun, Witney excitedly threw in,

“Oh, that would be awesome!  I really hope [that] she decides to do it! … I’ve usually heard tons of rumors by now,” the Champion went on to playfully complain, “ and I’ve heard zip!  Like, zero!  … Element of Surprise, I guess …!”

The Mirror Ball Professional of 5 Seasons was then questioned on whether or not she’d be willing to disclose a favorite Partner from the past, if indeed one exists; but, as Witney commented, she could no more pick a favorite sibling!

“… Don’t do that to me!” she pleaded in response with a smile, “… it's like [inquiring] ‘Okay, so tell me who your favorite sibling is!’  … It changes every day …!”

Witney Carson during an interview with ET.

Past wardrobes– and all those beautiful, sequined dresses! - was also duly discussed, with Witney sharing,

“The costumes are incredible, you guys!  Like, the Wardrobe Team is spectacular!  They make those costumes in less than four days – and they make ‘em for everybody!  Like, it’s nuts!“My most, like, iconic [costume], I think, is when I did the Carlton with Alphonso!  … That’s gotta be my favorite dance, and, just like, the dress was just so simple … just so iconic to the number!  …I actually stole it, so, just don’t tell anybody because I loved it so much!”

And, while delving into the Past, Carson was also questioned on her own start down the road to becoming a Champion Performer and a household name!

“So, I started dancing when I was little, little girl!  My mom put me in when I was around 3-years-old, and I think she wanted to live vicariously through me, ‘cause she loved it, and she could tell that I loved it ‘cause I could not stop moving ever since I was little!  … I started with Tap, then I went to Jazz, Hip-hop, and Ballet, and Ballroom – eventually – when I was about 9-years-old. … I just remember, like, it was a weird thing with boys, then, right?  Like boys had ‘cooties’ … but you had to be so comfortable around them, and you had to, like, touch their hand and they had to touch your waist, and so I would cry everyday to my mom … ‘Please, don’t make me go!  Please!’ … and I’m really glad that she made me go, because I got over that phase and I am where I am.  … Thanks, Mom, for that!  … She’s extremely proud!”

“… [I’m] always choreographing!” The Emmy-nominated Choreographer additionally shared of herself; and, what is clearly, her insatiable love for the Performing Arts, “My mind is always working! It’s a little ADD, but its fine!” she joked.“Some people, like, listen to music and they kinda, like, jam out, but I’m, like, thinking of Steps!” The Pro further explained.

When asked which Dance Style might be her favorite to teach an amateur Partner, Witney confidently replied,

“I tell you what that hardest one is!  The hardest one to teach is actually Samba … the actual technique takes years for people to perfect!  It's just ‘cause it’s so foreign to their bodies … So, we usually just try and not get that! – We say, ‘Please, not Samba!  Anything but Samba!’ … I really like teaching Tango!” continued Carson, “… They usually pick up Tango pretty quick because it’s all just Steps and really sharp Flicks.”

Naturally, the number one question that is seemingly the most forefront on every Fans' mind is that of any news in regards to as what to expect from DWTS’ latest Ballroom escapades!

“ I really don’t know anything!” admitted Witney, “ But … the Producers are awesome the way they just make the Show new and unique every, single season!” … We have a couple, uh, opportunities where we can do Feature Performances now … So, like, the Pros will be able to create something with another Pro … it's gives us a chance to, like, use our creativity to the fullest! …”

Of course, there is one aspect of Season 23 that Carson is quite sure of – the desire to win her second Mirror Ball Trophy! Says the veteran Pro with a smile,

“It's time!”

DWTS Elimination: Kim & Sasha AND Von & Witney – Season 22, Week 07

Kim Fields and Sasha Farber
AND
Von Miller and Witney Carson
ELIMINATED
on Dancing With The Stars

Dancing With The Stars' Fans and Ballroom witnessed the dismal departure of not one but TWO Couples last Monday Evening as part of the show’s unnerving Double Elimination Night!

The Facts of Life Star, Kim Fields,

Kim & Sasha
DWTS Season 22, Week 07
- Icons Night

and Super Bowl Champion MVP, Von Miller,

Von & Witney
DWTS Season 22, Week 07
- Icons Night

each unwittingly closed down their respective, gratifying Seasons with one last Latin Hoorah, with Fields having performed a  (suffice it to say) Subpar Samba to a Jackson 5 hit – solidifying her as one of those unfortunate DWTS few to end their dancing Weeks on their worst Dance to date

Kim & Sasha
DWTS Season 22, Week 07
- Icons Night

– and with Miller (in stark opposition) having performed one of his best Dances to date, thrusting out a kingly Salsa to an Elvis Presley classic!

Von & Witney
DWTS Season 22, Week 07
- Icons Night

The Eliminated pair capped off
their last Competitive hours under the Glitter Dome's roof, each taking part in opposing Team Dance Freestyles in an all out, Guys vs. Gals, Ballroom showdown with Miller’s James Brown crew firmly defeating Fields' BeyoncĂ© ladies.

Von & Witney - Team James Brown
DWTS Season 22, Week 07
- Icons Night - Team Dances

I must say that I had found myself a little more than shocked at the Night’s final result of sending Von home along with Kim (who, let’s face it, had to be the next Celeb to hit the California bricks, however unfortunate), seeing as how it was CLEARLY GMA Meteorologist Ginger Zee's turn to go next, having consistently displayed a much lazier form of dancing and Performance pizzazz overall throughout the Season!

Not to mention, I find it hard to believe that Super Bowl's reigning Champ – and, let’s not forget, MVP! - Von's Football Nation votes failed to effortlessly SQUASH (what would presumably be) Ginger’s  comparatively insignificant crowd of Weather-watchers.

Upon being formally Eliminated from the Ballroom, Kim expressed a fair amount of surprise concerning what she clearly deemed to be her untimely exit (which reaction inspired within myself an equal, if not, much more amused emotion), before graciously noting that she was “grateful for the opportunity” to have been part of the show, while Von commented that his time on the show had allowed him not only a pleasing life experience, but also the making of a new-found and endeared friend as well, remarking, “… It's been so much fun!  … Me and Witney, we have a special relationship …”
