NFL’s Star, former Quarterback and CFL’s 3-time, Grey Cup Champion and MVP (1992, 1996, and 1997), Doug Flutie, is lacing up his Dancing Shoes and set to join Dancing With The Stars’ all-new, Spring Cast of Season 22!

Widely known for his MASS amount of talent, when on the Grid Iron, Flutie played for such NFL Team greats as the New England Patriots and the Chicago Bears, among others; and, in addition, is known for having been named CFL’s Most Outstanding Player AND All-Star player an incredible 6 times.

Doug has recounted his reaction upon learning that it was the show’s beloved Karina with whom he would be dancing as, “I was fired up because the reputation that Karina has with the show, and the people around it! … I need a lot of help!”

“I’ve been getting to know Doug,” remarked Smirnoff, in turn, of her Season 22 Celebrity partner, “not only through what I’ve read about him, but also in the last couple of days … People look up to [him], people talk about [him], everyone that I speak with, they’re like, ‘No, way!  You have Doug Flutie!’, and I’m like, ‘Yeah!’, and then you get to meet the real person who’s fun, who’s easy going … [and] hard-working - Super hard-working! - … [and] tends to laugh at himself quite a bit, which, um, is awesome for me because I get to laugh with him, at himself, so, it’s a win-win!”

“And there is plenty of opportunity to do that!” added Doug with a laugh.

“We’re gonna take one Week at a time!”, declared Karina; “And ‘we’re gonna take ‘one Week at a time’ for 11 weeks! … … Is that how long the show is?!”
